Tonight, Higgs Fletcher & Mack will help sponsor the San Diego County Bar Association\u2019s (SDCBA) Dialogue on Diversity event at the organization\u2019s conference center.<\/p>\n

Beginning at 5:30 P.M., the annual program will highlight SDCBA\u2019s commitment to diversity and foster a dialogue on a variety of issues in the community. In addition, attendees will hear from Peggy Nagae<\/a>,\u00a0an expert on diversity & inclusion matters\u00a0including leadership, cultural competency, communication and organizational change. A reception will follow at the Kelvin Restaurant located at the Renaissance Hotel.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe truly understand the importance of diversity. Higgs was one of the first law firms in San Diego to sign the SDCBAs Diversity Pledge in 2007. We\u2019re also an active participant in the organization\u2019s summer diversity fellowship program and provide diversity scholarships annually to a student at the University of San Diego School of Law and California Western School of Law,\u201d said Higgs Fletcher & Mack\u2019s Executive Director, Henry Angelino.<\/p>\n

Co-presenters for the event include: Earl B. Gilliam Bar Association, Filipino American Lawyers of San Diego, Iranian American Bar Association of San Diego, Korean American Bar Association, Lawyers Club of San Diego, Native American Lawyers Association, Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego, San Diego Chinese Attorneys Association, San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association, South Asian Bar Association and the Tom Homann LGBT Law Association.<\/p>\n

Angelino continued, \u201cI\u2019m proud of the commitment to diversity we\u2019ve upheld not only within the firm, but throughout the legal community. It\u2019s important for us to support this event and we\u2019re excited for an evening of education and networking.\u201d<\/p>\n
